Customers are emotion seeking individuals.... One example in the Simandou Training Service

As a training superintendent, I am with my team, providing a service to the rest of the organization. In this regard, as much as I can, i ask my team members how important it is for us to show people in the business that we care about them.

They are our customers and customers are recognised to be emotion seeking individuals. Through the quality of the service we provide, we provide them with the feeling of satisfaction.

A driver came to us 10 mn ago, requesting a certificate of "the way we work" training delivered earlier. Once ho got it in his hands, he looked at it with a great smile and you could read on his face, how happy he was. For someone like him who does not have a post grad diploma or even a single university degree, I am sure he can go back home and show this to friends and family....

I felt really happy that me and my training officer who delivered the training, made a customer emotionnally comfortable today.

The vision I have for my team.....

As a training superintendent working for one of the greatest mining project in Africa and even in the world, i believe that developing a vision for my team is a crucial move as a frontline leader.
Therefore, my vision is to build a team that is greatly admired and respected accross the organization. A team that is attractive to others, with whom other department enjoy partnering with towards achieving company goals. A team that challenge itself and continously step down from it comfort zone. A team in which all of it members are proud to be part of.
